Özgür Altuncu – Özgür Arslan / Istanbul, July 24 () - Turkey's President Tayyip Erdoğan gave a speech regarding the ISIL (Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant) operations, while warning militant groups , over his phone call with U.S. President Obama, regarding the security measures.
Upon the question of a journalist on the assertions that the İncirlik Air Base in the southern province of Adana will be opened to aircrafts of coalition forces, Erdoğan confirmed. “In a certain frame, those will also be used.”
Erdoğan stated that “including ‘DEAŞ’, the PKK and DHKPC are all perceived as terror organization” for them, highlighting that the steps of this process will demonstrate an example of "determination".
Erdoğan also referred to the controversial security bill, giving police near-unrestricted powers, that had recently passed by the Turkish parliament.
“Everyone can exercise their democratic rights, within the laws. However even after the security bill was passed, even in Istanbul, people still freely rambles holding guns, hiding their faces. This unfourtanelty shows that we have a sore point regarding security. Therefore, the steps to be taken will be taken” urged Erdogan.
